Implant Dentures ( Single Jaw)

Bar-retained  Implant overdenture

This method, known as bar-supported implant overdenture, is used in dentistry as the best option for patients who have no teeth in the upper or lower jaw or whose teeth need to be extracted due to health conditions. It is particularly suitable for those who do not have sufficient bone structure or budget for permanent teeth replacement and offers a removable denture solution.

The procedures are determined at the end of a consultation consisting of an X-ray, an examination of the mouth anatomy, the condition of the teeth, jaw occlusion, and bone density. All of these are evaluated by our specialist dentists and the maxillofacial surgeon. At the end of the evaluation, treatment options and processes are explained to the patient in detail by the patient advisor using visual and digital models. Once the patient accepts the procedure, an appointment is made for the first step. A pre-operative prescription is written for the patient, and medication is started.

This treatment consists of two stages and there will be 3 to 6 months between the 1st and 2nd treatment.

1st stage ( Surgical treatment)

1 week vacation is enough!

1.Before the treatment, photographs and digital or conventional intraoral impressions are taken and preoperative injections are given for general comfort of the patient.

2.The maxillofacial surgeon performs the treatment planned based on the results of the X-ray and tomography examination using appropriate anesthesia techniques and self-dissolving sutures.

During the treatment, multi-unit abutments are placed according to the force that the implants will receive from the bone.

Digital impressions are taken on the same day for temporary teeth.

A post-procedure examination and trial fitting appointment are scheduled for the following day.

3Fixed or removable temporary teeth are fitted within 3 days, and a post-procedure follow-up appointment is scheduled according to the patient's travel plans.

"At this stage, our patient has completed the first stage, which includes surgical procedures, and has regained her temporary teeth. The second stage, which includes permanent treatment, will have a recovery period ranging from 3 to 6 months."

2nd stage ( Bar-retained Implant overdenture)

10 to 12 days vacation is enough !

1.X-rays are taken for the patient coming in for the second treatment to evaluate the relationship of the implants with the bone and their suitability for treatment.

On the same day under local anesthesia, multi-unit abutments on the implants are replaced. Additionally, the same procedure is applied to implants that were previously under the gum line, and healing caps are placed. An appointment is scheduled for taking measurements for Bar-retained on the Implants. After digital or conventional measurements are taken, a trial appointment is scheduled for the Bar-retained.

The gingival compliance, bite, and aesthetic control of the Bar-retained are checked, and if everything goes well during the trial fitting, a trial appointment is scheduled for the Acrylic and Tooth Try-In
